- Presumed dead, wakes up to find his clan has been kidnapped. He buries his father and sets out to save his clan. On the journey, they join the orangutan Raka, who teaches Noah the teachings of Caesar. The apes find themselves chased by human scavengers. Raka gives her food and a blanket and names her Nova. When the trio encounter a group of wild men, Silva's raiders launch an ambush. Noah and Raka rescue Nova, and to their surprise, she is able to speak. She reveals that her name is Mei, and that the raiders have taken Noah's clan to a seaside settlement outside the old human crypt. Crossing a bridge on the way to the settlement, they are ambushed by Silva. In the ensuing fight, Raka saves Mei from drowning, but is swept away by the rapids. - Reunites with his clan and is introduced to the self-proclaimed king of the apes, Proximus Caesar. Proximus has enslaved the other clans, forcing them to work on opening the vault so he can access the human technology locked inside. Proximus invites Noah to dinner with May and Trevathan, a human prisoner who teaches Proximus about the old human world. Proximus believes that Noah's intelligence can help open the vault and warns him that Meno only has his own agenda. Noah confronts May, demanding the truth in exchange for her help. Ma reveals knowledge of the vault's hidden entrance and says that inside is a mysterious "book" capable of restoring speech to humanity. Noah agrees to help her break into the vault, hoping to destroy Proximus' colony and lead his clan back home. Noa, Mae, Suna and Anaya secretly plant explosives around the levees surrounding the settlement. Trevathan catches them and tries to warn Proximus, but May kills him. Movira Entertainment
- As clan returns to rebuild their home, May arrives to bid Noa farewell. She hides a gun behind her back, but never reveals it or shoots Noah. She explains that humans deserve a second chance because they were once the dominant species, but Noah questions whether apes and humans can coexist peacefully.
