Saindhav is a 2024 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu with production by Niharika Entertainment.[4] It stars Venkatesh, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Arya, Shraddha Srinath, Rouhani Sharma, Andrea Jeremiah and Baby Sara.
Set in the fictional port town of Chandraprastha, Saidhav Koneru aka "Psycho" has a dark past, leading a quirky family life with his daughter Gayatri and caretaker Manogna. However, Psycho's life takes a serious turn when Gayatri is diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy and requires an injection of Zolgensma, which costs ₹17 crore. Saidhav returns to the world of crime to extract money for Gayatri's operation and soon begins an intense war against his past rivals, including the ruthless gangster Vikas Malik. Will he succeed in saving his daughter? Who will die in the end?
On 23 January 2023, Venkatesh and Shailesh Kolanu announced that they would collaborate for a new film titled #Venky75. The makers then announced the film titled Saindhav by unveiling the title poster and its teaser on 25 January. Many parts of the film were shot all over Sri Lanka. The team at Ugadi then confirmed the release date of 22 December 2023. The production of the film began immediately in Hyderabad with the first schedule which was soon completed. The team then shifted to Visakhapatnam for the second schedule of the film in April.
Paul Nicodemus of The Times of India gave 3/5 stars and concluded that "Saindhava is an interesting attempt to blend emotional depth with action. It has exciting moments, and serves as a testament to the evolving nature of Telugu cinema, where traditional storytelling can is. has been said." Full of contemporary cinematic sensibilities.
