Development on a third Deadpool film began at 20th Century Fox in November 2016, but was put on hold after Disney acquired the studio in March 2019. Control of the character was transferred to Marvel Studios, which began developing a new film with Reynolds. It integrates Deadpool into the MCU and retains the R rating of the previous films, becoming the first MCU film to carry such a rating. Reese and Wernick returned from previous films for rewrites through March 2022, when Levy was hired as director. Jackman, along with Reynolds and Welles, had difficulty understanding the film's story until he decided to reprise his role as Wolverine from Fox's X-Men film series in August 2022. Filming began in May 2023 at Pinewood Studios in England, with additional filming in Norfolk. and Bovingdon Film Studios. Production was suspended in July due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, but resumed in November and wrapped in January 2024. The title of the film was revealed a month later. Download Movie
Deadpool and the Wolverine premieres on July 22, 2024 in New York City's David H. In Coach took place in theaters and is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 26, 2024, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
Six years later, Wade retired as a masked mercenary known as Deadpool and began working as a used car salesman after breaking up with his girlfriend Vanessa Carlisle. During his birthday party, the Time Variance Authority (TVA) captures Wade and delivers him to Mr. Paradox, who offers him to join Earth-616. However, Paradox also states that Wade's timeline is deteriorating as a result of the death of James "Logan" Howlett, [b] who is revealed to be the timeline's "anchor being". Wade steals Paradox's temppad before traveling to the multiverse and finding a variant of Logan to save his timeline where he kills several TVA agents using Wolverine's invincible skeleton.
After encountering different versions of Logan, Wade takes one back to TVA, where he learns that this particular Logan destroyed his own universe before the Paradox cut them both into the void. Wade and Logan fight before they and Johnny Storm[c] are captured and sent to Cassandra Nova, whom Logan identifies as the twin sister of X-Men leader Charles Xavier. After arriving at Nova's lair, she demonstrates her power to manipulate people's minds and explains her agreement with the TVA to remain in the Void as a gang leader. He then kills Johnny and tries to trick Wade into feeling that he isn't needed before Eliot shows up. Wade and Logan escape before Eliot can eat them. Movie Review
