Satoru Mikami is an ordinary 37-year-old corporate worker living in Tokyo. Although he has no girlfriend, he is almost content with his monogamous life. During a casual encounter with his colleague, an assailant appears out of nowhere and stabs him. While dying from his injuries, a mysterious voice echoes in his mind and speaks a series of commands that he cannot understand.
After regaining consciousness, Satoru discovers that he has been reincarnated as a slime in an unknown world. At the same time, he also acquires new-found skills, specifically the ability called "Predator", which allows him to eat anything and mimic its appearance and skills. He stumbles upon Veldora, a powerful 'Storm Dragon' who has been sealed away to reduce the town to ashes for the past 300 years. Feeling sorry for him, Satoru befriends the dragon, promising to help him destroy the seal. They decide to swap names, Veldora names him Rimuru and he gets the name Tempest in return. Rimuru then uses the dragon with his prison to analyze the spell within himself and eventually free Veldora.
The disappearance of Veldora's aura creates a power vacuum that eventually makes Rimuru the leader of all the creatures inhabiting the great forest of Jura, who accept him as ruler and together they found the nation of Tempest. With Rimuru's strength, wisdom, and idealistic vision, the new nation quickly grows in power and influence. Soon Rimuru and his subjects draw the attention of nearby foreign powers, from kings and legendary heroes to demon lords, some seeking to be his allies, others to take advantage of him or destroy him outright.
Finally their divorce is approved, but then the broker is caught and the Yojna (scheme) draw results are halted due to which there is a argument between Kapil and Somya, as the former says it was due to Somya’s greed he is divorced and they are in this situation just to get some privacy and space of their own. After some time Somya gets the papers of her new home from Movira Entertainment the Indian Government and she confesses all this to her parents and they all go to Kapil's house and they come clean. But Kapil’s aunt faints and is taken to hospital where it is revealed that her liver is failing and she needs urgent transplant.
It received a manga adaptation published by Kodansha and five manga spin-offs published by Kodansha and an anime television series adaptation produced by Eight Beat, which aired from October 2018 to March 2019. The anime series aired its second season. from January to September 2021, and another spin-off manga anime adaptation aired from April to June 2021. The anime film releases in November 2022. A three-episode original net animation spin-off titled Visions of Coleus was released in November. 2023. The third season premiered in April 2024
