Samira "Sam", a pessimistic, terminally ill cancer patient, lives in an inn outside New York City with her cat, Frodo. Reuben, a nurse, convinces a reluctant Sam to join a group outing to a marionette show in Manhattan. While in the city, the group saw meteor-like objects falling from the sky. After a while, hostile extraterrestrials attack the assembled crowd and passers-by. A meteor hits the ambulance, and the explosion knocks Sam unconscious. Movira
Sam later wakes up inside a puppet theater with the other survivors, including Frodo and Henry, beckoning him to be quiet. Advertisements from military helicopters warn civilians to stay calm and take cover until authorities can rescue them. Sam then witnesses fighter jets bombing and destroying the bridges leading out of Manhattan, preventing the creatures from leaving the island. One of the survivors begins to panic, and Henry accidentally kills him while trying to calm him down. Download Movie
That night the power grid cuts, causing the building's emergency generator to noisily activate. Reuben stops him, but attracts a creature that kills him after hearing his shirt rip. A distraught Sam leaves for Harlem with Frodo. The military announced that it was preparing to evacuate civilians by boat from the South Street Seaport because the creatures were unable to swim. Groups of people begin to leave the buildings and head for the evacuation sites, but their mass movements alert the creatures, who attack them and cause a stampede. Sam flees in the opposite direction and becomes separated from Frodo.
Eric, an English law student, escapes from a flooded subway station and confronts Frodo, followed by Sam. She tries to convince Eric to head south to the evacuation point, but Eric is shocked and follows Sam to his apartment instead. While there, Eric learns that Sam is an acclaimed and published poet. The next morning, Sam leaves alone for Harlem, but Eric finds him and they continue their journey together. Sam and Eric accidentally alert the creatures and escape into a flooded subway. With no other way out, the pair are forced to wade through deep water, eventually awakening a dormant creature that chases them but drowns as they escape.
The pair end up in a ruined church, and while Sam rests, Eric heads out alone to pick up pain medication for her from the pharmacy. He then rescues Frodo from the construction site, finding a group of creatures, led by an organic egg, feeding on the remains of the pod. Sam tells Eric that as a child, she used to watch her late father play jazz in clubs in Harlem and then get pizza with him at Patsy's, something Sam always wanted to do before he died. Eric grants Sam his wish by taking him to a club, collecting pizzas from other stores, and performing a magic card trick to cheer him up. Movie Review
