Atticus Noble, the sadistic admiral of a military empire, arrives on the backwater moon of the Veldt on behalf of the Motherworld, a star empire ruled by conquest and war for centuries. He explains that his soldiers are hunting a group of rebels led by siblings Deora and Darien Bloodaxe, and offers to buy the village's surplus grain. The village leader, Sindri, refuses the offer, claiming that he barely has enough to live on. A farmer, Gunnar, ignores Sindri and Farmer Kora's earlier warnings and suggests that the village may have some surplus. Noble kills Sindri and orders Gunnar to prepare grain for them in ten weeks, which will not leave enough for the village to live on. Noble departs, leaving a handful of soldiers and "Jimmy" the robot to tend the crops. After being bullied by a peer, Jimmy starts to become independent. A villager, Cora, sees other soldiers preparing to rape the villager and kills them with the help of Jimmy and Eris, a soldier enraged by the actions of his own comrades. Cora warns the villagers that Noble will massacre the village upon their return, unless they are rescued. Movira
Cora and Gunnar head to the port city of Providence to recruit warriors to defend the village, including Titus, a disgraced imperial general. During their journey, she reveals to Gunnar that she once served the Empire as a soldier, adopted and named Arthelais, who killed her family and decimated her home population. She became the bodyguard of Princess Isa of the Motherworld, who was expected to end the Imperium's conquest. However, despite his efforts, the royal family was assassinated during Issa's coronation, and Balisarius declared himself regent before renewing his conquest. Download Movie
Arriving in Providence, the pair meet smuggler and criminal Kai, who agrees to take them to recruit Titus. Along the way, Kai leads them to two additional warriors: Tarak, an animal tamer, and Nemesis, a genius swordsman enhanced by cybernetics. The group arrives at a gladiator arena on a distant moon, only to find Titus drunk. Titus initially refuses to join, but agrees to do so after Cora suggests he avenge his dead soldiers. Using Gunnar's previous dealings with Bloodaxe, they arrive at the shelter to meet him. Darien agrees to defend the village and brings in a handful of rebels, including Milius, while Devara and the rest of the rebels leave Sharan. After they leave, Noble arrives and destroys its population as punishment for helping the rebels.
Kai tells Cora that he is inspired by her quest to give up her life as a smuggler and has one last shipment. He leads the group to a trading post, where Noble's ship has arrived and intercepts them, betraying them to Noble and revealing that he had always intended to do so for the bounty on his head. Noble introduced Cora and Titus as deserters, Tarak as a criminal and former prince, and Nemesis as the murderer of several royal officials in revenge for his murdered children. Kai demands that Gunnar paralyze Korra; Instead Gunnar frees him and kills Kai. Other warriors are also freed; In the ensuing battle Darien is killed and Cora kills Noble. Afterwards, the surviving warriors return to the veldt, and Jimmy watches them from afar as they make their way to the village.

Korra, a former Imperial soldier, ventures out to recruit warriors from across the galaxy to make a stand against the Empire before they return to the Veldt.
