In war-torn Panem, Coriolanus Snow is one of twenty-four Academy students chosen to guide the 10th annual Hunger Games tribute. Coriolanus hopes for the Plinth Prize Scholarship to restore his family's prosperity, which had been damaged after his father's death. Movira
Coriolanus is assigned District 12's female tribute, Lucy Gray Byrd. During the pruning ceremony, she engages Capitol spectators by sliding a snake down the dress of Mayor Lipp's daughter, Mayfair, then sings to the crowd. Coriolanus gains Lucy Gray's trust when he accompanies her to the Capitol Zoo, where the tribute is publicly caged. While some guides are visiting the tribute at the zoo, a Capitol student is killed by her tribute, who is then shot. Download Movie
While visiting the arena, a rebel bomb explodes, killing several tributes and guides, including the president's son Felix. After Lucy Gray rescues Coriolanus from falling debris, she gives him rat poison as a weapon, saying she can hide it in a bombed hole in the floor of the arena.
During the last round of the Games, a genetically modified snake is unleashed on the field as revenge for Felix's death. With the help of Coriolanus, Lucy escapes being bitten by Gray and wins the games. Afterwards, Dean Casca Hybottom accuses Coriolanus of fraud and shows him the evidence to prove it. Dean Hybottom sentences Coriolanus to 20 years of peacekeeper service. Coriolanus bribes an official to transfer him to District 12, and fellow Academy student Sejanus Plinth, who has become disillusioned with the ideals of the Capitol after seeing his tribute die, volunteers to join him. Lucy Gray and Coriolanus flee north. In a small cabin, Coriolanus finds hidden weapons that link him to Mayfair's murder. Lucy Gray, the unfaithful Coriolanus, disappears into the forest. After he is bitten by a snake and tries unsuccessfully to kill Lucy Gray, Coriolanus throws the guns into a lake near the cabin. With no witnesses left, he returns to District 12.
In District 12, Coriolanus and Lucy Gray are reunited. Shortly after witnessing the execution of a rebel, Coriolanus will be transferred to District 2 for officer training. Coriolanus later meets Sejanus with the rebels Spruce, Billy Taupe (Lucy Gray's former love interest) and Mayfair. In the ensuing confrontation, Coriolanus kills Spruce Billy by fatally shooting Mayfair. Coriolanus lets Jabberjee overhear Sejanus' plans. Spruce hides the guns, but he and Sejanus are later executed for treason.
Coriolanus is sent to the Capitol, where the Gamemaster Dr. Volumnia Gaul says she received a waiver and scholarship to Capitol University. Sejanus' parents, unknown to Coriolanus, cause their son's death, and make him his heir. Dean Hybottom tells Coriolanus that the Hunger Games was an idea he came up with while drunk and has been traumatized ever since. Coriolanus hides Dean Hybottom's potion and poisons it, killing the latter and beginning his rise to power, while Lucy Gray's fate is unknown.
