In Kenya in 2008, M.S. A Special Anti-Terrorism Squad (SATS) consisting of Gandhi, Sunil Thigarajan, Kalyan Sundaram and Ajay Govindaraj intercepts terrorist Omar to extract uranium from him. Their former chief Rajiv Menon, who is absconding after being charged with sedition, is also on the same train. They get the uranium from Menon and destroy the train he was on, leaving everyone on board, including Menon, dead. Back in Delhi, the team disguises themselves as employees of the India Tourism Development Corporation, hiding their real jobs from their families. Danish, a mute man from Igatpuri, whose childhood dream was to become a Bollywood actor, reaches Mumbai to fulfill his dream. He tries to enter Film City, but is stopped by a guard. He transgresses anyway and meets assistant director Akshara Pandey, who is amazed by his performance. He approaches the director to request a role for Danish in a film, but the director refuses after learning that Danish is silent. Download Movie
Danish and Akshara go to Voice Hospital to get her checked-up, but the doctors reveal that her vocal cords are completely paralyzed and cannot be treated. Akshara's father reveals that a new "live voice transfer technology" exists in Finland; A chip will be fitted inside the patient's larynx that can help them "speak" (via a voice borrowed from another person). After undergoing the operation in Finland, Akshara and Danish return to Mumbai and set out to find someone who can speak for Danish every time, when they meet Amitabh Sinha, an old drunk lying on the pavement. Amitabh also wanted to become an actor but was rejected because of his voice.
Danish again approaches the director, who this time agrees to launch it, but wants to change the name. Danish searches for a name and ends up on Shamitabh (a portmanteau of Danish and Amitabh), crediting the person who voiced him. Danish makes two films and becomes a hit actor, which Amitabh realizes was only because of him, and ego problems begin to arise between the two. Movie Review
Danish arrives in London to give a speech in which Amitabh voices for him, but Danish treats him like a servant. Amitabh later gets drunk and is arrested after assaulting a police officer, but Danish bails him out. When the two returned to Mumbai, reporters asked Danish if he apologized for the incident. Danish tells Amitabh that he apologizes from his servant Amitabh's side. Instead, Amitabh mischievously forces him to answer in the negative, much to Danish's anger. Beldi parts routes; Danish plays a mute person in his next film, while Amitabh dubs for another actor in another film. Both the films failed.
Akshara makes both Amitabh and Danish realize that they are nothing without each other and gets them together for a film called Sorry, which she is directing. Meanwhile, Akshara and Danish reveal that they like each other. While Amitabh and Danish are on their way to the venue of the press meet to apologize, a car accident occurs; Danish is killed while Amitabh's larynx is damaged, rendering him mute.
