In 1974, a meteorite containing the alien hedgehog Shadow crashes in Oklahoma and is captured by the U.S. military. Shadow's powers are experimented with by Professor Gerald Robotnik at the Guardian Units of Nations (GUN) research facility under the supervision of Captain Walters; Shadow also develops a close friendship with Gerald's granddaughter Maria. One night, when Gerald, Maria, and Shadow try to escape the facility to save Shadow from being kidnapped, Maria is accidentally killed in an explosion. 50 years later, an unknown individual infiltrates the GUN prison facility system off the coast of Japan and releases the vengeful Shadow. In Green Hills, Montana, Sonic celebrates the anniversary of his arrival on Earth with Tails, Knuckles, and their adoptive parents Tom and Maddy Wachowski. GUN Director Rockwell arrives and recruits Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles (known as "Team Sonic") to help capture Shadow in Tokyo. However, he defeats the trio and escapes. Download Movie
Team Sonic now meets Commander Walters, who gives them information about Shadow's past. Suddenly, Dr. Ivo Robotnik's drones attack and mortally wound Walters, who gives Sonic the keycard before dying. When Rockwell discovers the missing keycard and turns against them, they decide to find Shadow without the help of GUN. Team Sonic encounters Ivo's assistant, Agent Stone, who denies involvement in the attack; they form an uneasy alliance with Ivo and track the stolen drone to an abandoned GUN facility.
While Shadow captures the others, Ivo confronts Gerald, his estranged grandfather and the mastermind behind Shadow's escape. Gerald explains that the keycard is one of two needed to activate the Eclipse Cannon, an orbital laser space weapon he designed for GUN that is capable of targeting and destroying any location on Earth. He claims he plans to use it to destroy GUN's headquarters in London to avenge Maria's death, and Evo agrees to join him. Shadow takes the keycard from Tales and activates a miniature black hole to destroy the base as Robotnik and Stone leave. Movie Review
In 1070, Roman troops attempt to conquer Perumachi, one of five islands off the southern Indian subcontinent. With the help of Koduvan, a local resident, they kill 100 warriors defending the island. However, one survivor, Selumara, escapes and warns the chieftain, Senthi. In retaliation, Senthi's son, Kanguva "Kanga", executes Koduvan in front of the tribe. Overcome with grief, Koduvan's wife surrenders their son Poruva to Kanga before fleeing in the fire and taking her own life. Kanga raises Poruva as her protege and trains him to be a warrior.
Doug is stopped by Sam the White Ninja, who he later realizes is his brother. Doug knocks Sam unconscious and uses telekinesis to snatch Sam's sword and kill him. Doug and Carol fight off more ninjas and are seriously injured. While fighting the remaining ninjas, Doug is shot by Wei Chan with an arrow containing Anti-Venom, halting his transformation. Doug's hands are immune to Anti-Venom and he proceeds to kill Wei Chan using his dinosaur powers, among other techniques. Doug takes Carol to the hospital where she recovers.
Team Sonic escapes using the Ring Portal and recruits Tom and Maddie to fight Robotnik and Rockwell so they can steal another keycard from GUN headquarters. Tom successfully retrieves the keycard, but Shadow critically injures him and takes it, allowing Robotnik to launch the Eclipse Cannon. Enraged, Sonic abandons Tails and Knuckles, steals the Master Emerald, and uses the seven Chaos Emeralds inside to become Super Sonic. Sonic confronts Shadow, who also absorbs the Chaos Emeralds' energy and becomes Super Shadow. Sonic eventually defeats Shadow, but remains patient, realizing that revenge is consuming him. Sonic tells Shadow about the loss of his guardian Longclaw[b] and that his love for the people he has lost is more important than revenge. With a change of heart, Shadow agrees to help stop the cannon.
Riding the Eclipse Cannon, Gerald reveals that he truly intends to destroy Earth to avenge Maria's death. A terrified Evo tries to cancel the firing sequence, preferring to rule over humanity rather than destroy it, but Gerald destroys the command console. Tails and Knuckles arrive, and the three push Gerald into the reactor core, killing him. Sonic and Shadow block the cannon's beam as Evo, Tails, and Knuckles carry him away from Earth, accidentally cutting off a portion of the moon. Sonic loses his Super form and consciousness while blocking the cannon's beam with Shadow, and falls back to Earth. Tails and Knuckles rescue Sonic using a ring portal in the Green Hills. When the cannon's core begins to melt, Evo and Shadow sacrifice themselves to move it away from Earth before it explodes, while Evo makes a final declaration of accepting Stone as his only friend. Sonic reconciles with Tails and Knuckles, while Tom recovers from his injuries.
