Roman Catholic priest Doug Jones sees his parents die in a VFX car fire. He goes on a spiritual journey to China and meets ninjas who are searching for an artifact that turns people into "dragon warriors." After being infected by the artifact, Doug begins to have nightmares and receives a kiss from Father Stewart, then goes into the woods late at night and transforms into a dinosaur. Waking up naked in Carol's bed, with no memory of the night, Doug initially believes they had sex, but realizes the truth after Carol tells him what happened. Unsatisfied with her suggestion that he use his new powers to fight crime and free people from spiritual bondage, he returns to the church to confess; speaking to Carol's pimp, Frankie Mermaid, he learns that the Mermaid is responsible for the murder of Doug's parents. Enraged, Doug proceeds to kill the mermaid and now, having agreed to his crime-fighting plan, Carol needs his help. Father Stewart, learning of Doug's newfound powers, encourages Doug to lose them and stop killing. He takes him to Altair, an exorcist who wants to remove Doug's powers. In flashbacks, the audience learns that Father Stewart witnessed a war comrade being carelessly shot and accidentally killed by his lover. In the present, the exorcism fails and Doug transforms, gouging out one of Father Stewart's eyes.
As Carol returns, Doug encounters the ninjas. Father Stuart wakes up in a camp of Christian ninjas dealing drugs, led by Wei Chan. They plan to sell the highly addictive cocaine to the public and then cut off its supply. Wei Chan hopes this will drive addicts to the church where he can eventually take over and use them as his army. Father Stuart rejects the idea and is killed. Doug and Carol confront the ninjas and devise a plan to stop Wei Chan. Movie Review
In 1070, Roman troops attempt to conquer Perumachi, one of five islands off the southern Indian subcontinent. With the help of Koduvan, a local resident, they kill 100 warriors defending the island. However, one survivor, Selumara, escapes and warns the chieftain, Senthi. In retaliation, Senthi's son, Kanguva "Kanga", executes Koduvan in front of the tribe. Overcome with grief, Koduvan's wife surrenders their son Poruva to Kanga before fleeing in the fire and taking her own life. Kanga raises Poruva as her protege and trains him to be a warrior.
Doug is stopped by Sam the White Ninja, who he later realizes is his brother. Doug knocks Sam unconscious and uses telekinesis to snatch Sam's sword and kill him. Doug and Carol fight off more ninjas and are seriously injured. While fighting the remaining ninjas, Doug is shot by Wei Chan with an arrow containing Anti-Venom, halting his transformation. Doug's hands are immune to Anti-Venom and he proceeds to kill Wei Chan using his dinosaur powers, among other techniques. Doug takes Carol to the hospital where she recovers.
Doug, no longer a priest and with a billion-dollar bounty on his head, plans to travel the world with Carol and continue their original idea of killing criminals.
"The Velociraptor 2" wrapped production on October 4, 2023. The film comes a year after its Kickstarter campaign, where the team raised $118k. It has no release date. The big change from the first film is that the film is being directed by Jesse Goldsbury, who was the cinematographer and producer on the previous film. The screenplay was written by Brendan Steer and Goldsbury, and Steer is editing the film. This time, Alyssa Kempinski, who plays Carol in the films, has joined the production team as a producer.
